Supplier to the Swiss airline Swissair in the 1950s, Longines made models that had the special feature of being able to make one revolution of the dial in 24 hours (a useful function for aircrew at the time). The Maison has reissued its functionality with the Twenty-Four Hours, based on a model that belonged to a retired airline employee. With a 47-millimetre steel case and a black dial with 24 Arabic numerals coated in SuperLumonova, it is equipped with the automatic L704.2 calibre, with seconds in the centre as in the original model. The case back is closed by a cover that, when opened, allows one to admire the movement. The cover bears the engraving 'Re-edition of a Longines navigation watch exclusively made for Swissair navigators, 1953-1956'.
