Ribbon-cutting ceremony for Longines' Milan boutique, the second single-brand store in Italy for the House of the Winged Hourglass.
Wednesday 19 March Longines officially opened its new Milan boutique in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, number 15. Welcoming the more than 200 guests, friends of the brand, were brand CEO Matthias Breschan, Swatch Group Italy Country Manager Calogero Polizzi and Ambassador of Elegance Barbara Palvin.
This prestigious location, covering 250 square metres on three levels linked by a prestigious staircase in Lombardy stone, continues the link between Longines and Italy after the opening of the boutique in Rome last year, the first in our country. Longines has the largest community of collectors and connoisseurs of the manufacture in Italy, who now finally have two important meeting places.
Longines' new Milanese home
Visitors have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the Longines universe.
The point of sale welcomes visitors in an elegant and modern environment, which bears witness to Longines' identity and recounts it by linking it to the local context of the Lombard capital, through the use of materials inspired by the territory as well as design elements signed by important Italian masters.
The rooms are designed to offer a luxury and hospitality experience with several lounge areas for dedicated appointments, while the first floor is conceived as a multifunctional space ideal for events, presentations and meetings.
Barbara Palvin Ambassador of Elegance Longines, godmother of the Milan boutique opening night
On the model's wrist is a Longines Mini DolceVita.
Godmother of the evening, internationally renowned Hungarian model Barbara Palvin last year joined the ambassadors of the concept of elegance that the company has summarised in a now symbolic claim, 'Elegance is an attitude'.A true style statement that explores the various nuances of elegance.
"I am very excited to participate in this important opening, Milan has always been my second city, I appreciate its energy and unquestionable style. It is no coincidence that I am wearing a Longines Mini DolceVita, a tribute to Italy!" he said. "Being here today fills me with pride, I find these surroundings authentic and welcoming, it will be nice to come back and feel at home.
