The new mainstay of the A. Lange & Söhne is an entirely mechanical, hand-wound watch with a digital hour and minute display via three independent, precisely jumping discs. We presented it, highlighting it as a model with a secure collector's future, in issue 180 of L'Orologio. Its original technical feature is the patented system for storing and releasing the energy required to trigger the discs, which protects the movement from any variations in rate.
The commercial launch of the ZeitWekr - Opera del Tempo - took place today in Milan, at Pisa Orologeria in Via Verri: although highly exclusive, given the small quantities produced annually, the watch is finally available on the Italian market, five months after its presentation to the press.
