Linde Werdelin launches the new Spidolite SA

Linde Werdelin lancia i nuovi Spidolite SA

At Basel 2009, Linde Werdelin inaugurated its close collaboration with independent master watchmakers, which began with the Spidolite made by Sven Andersen. Here are now two new variants alongside the one with a skeletonised titanium case and dial. The new models are available n titanium with black DLC treatment and in pink gold. Unchanged is the NOS LW & AG automatic calibre, created in 1970 and reworked by Atelier Andersen Genève.

The watch's sturdy structure is capable of mounting The Rock and The Reef instruments directly on the case, an instrument for land sports, the former, a diving instrument, the latter.

The idea of creating a watch that was particularly light came from a professional climber's precise request to Morten Linde before his expedition to Mount Everest. "We wanted to make an even more functional watch for professional and amateur sportsmen and women, without any compromise on design," says Morten Linde, co-founder and creative director of Linde Werdelin. "We took a couple of years to perfect this technique, which is based on the simple idea of removing unnecessary parts. The end result is a lighter case with a very pleasing design."

The collaboration with Svend Andersen is just the beginning of other projects we will see in the future.

The new SpidoLite SA models are limited to 88 pieces per version and are available by pre-ordering at LindeWerdelin.comor at authorised dealers. Prices: SpidoLite SA in black DLC titanium 9,800 euros; in rose gold 15,800 euros.
