The evolution of the Rado Captain Cook

Offered for the first time in a 43 mm case and in four versions, the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic encompasses some of the brand's most significant achievements, such as the innovative hi-tech ceramic monobloc case, the scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic hi-tech ceramic and the power of the Rado R734 calibre, with its 80-hour power reserve and Nivachron balance spring used to protect the timepiece from the action of magnetic fields. A first model features a case and bracelet in black hi-tech ceramic and a rotating bezel in hardened steel with a black hi-tech ceramic insert. A second model, with the same case and dial, is offered with a rubber strap for lovers of a more sporty look. The third version, again with a black hi-tech ceramic case and bracelet, features a rotating steel bezel with a contrasting rose gold PVD coating and a black hi-tech ceramic insert. The fourth model, with a hi-tech plasma ceramic case and bracelet, features a hardened steel bezel with a blue hi-tech ceramic insert. Both the dial, on which the iconic Rado rotating anchor at 12 o'clock stands out, and the case back are made of smoked sapphire crystal to allow the wearer to admire the mechanisms of the skeleton movement. The triangle on the bezel, the hour markers and the classic Captain Cook arrow-shaped hands on the dial feature white SuperLuminova inserts to ensure optimal visibility even in the dark. All models are guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 30 atmospheres.
