The new version of the Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer from Ball Watch is called the Caring Edition. Unlike the model presented only a few months ago, it is offered in a dual size, with a diameter of 40 or 43 mm. In addition, the date window at 3 o'clock has been enlarged to offer maximum readability. For the same purpose, the hour and minute indices employ a total of 27 coloured glass micro-tubes which, incorporating H3 gas molecules, emit 100 times more light energy than the traditional illumination methods used in watchmaking and are sufficient to recharge them without the need for an external power source or light.
Both models are fitted with the BALL RR1103-C automatic calibre, chronometer-certified by the Cosc and protected by a shield made of mu-metal, an alloy of nickel, iron, copper and molybdenum with very high magnetic permeability that enables it to attract and deflect static or low-frequency magnetic field lines. It also features a patented Amortiser system capable of absorbing the energy created in the event of an impact.
This is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces (for each of the two versions) with a case in 904L steel. On sale for 2,416 euros.
