The latest evolutions of the Nautilus by Patek Philippe:

In addition to the 5811, Patek Philippe also offered new fittings for some complication versions of the Nautilus.

The Nautilus took centre stage this year among the new Patek Philippe models. We have already talked about how many hailed the arrival of the successor to the 5711, one of the most sought-after timepieces ever: the 5811, which carries on the legacy of the three-hand Nautilus. Made this time in white gold and not steel, and slightly larger (41 mm as opposed to the previous 40), it features a few minor updates. It was the news that enthusiasts had been waiting for. But it didn't end there.

Two other novelties concern this collection, but in a more complicated version. Starting with the Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph. Launched in 2014, it was then one of Patek Philippe's rare complicated steel models.

Then last year, in Ref. 5990, it was offered entirely in rose gold. This year, however, Patek marked a return to steel with Ref. 5990/1A-011, which was also revamped with a sunburst blue dial shaded black on the edge.

The self-winding CH 28-520 C FUS calibre combines three useful and user-friendly complications: the flyback chronograph, the Travel Time function (dual time zone with two central hands for local time and home time) and the date hand display combined with local time. Price69,160 euro.

Then there is the Nautilus 5712, with date hand, moon phase and power reserve indicator functions. In its latest version Ref. 5712/1R-001, it combines an all rose gold construction with a black shaded soleil brown dial, which is the novelty of this version.

The case, with a diameter of 40 mm, reaches a thickness of 8.52 mm: relatively little when one considers the various functions of the mechanism. On the other hand, the automatic 240 PS IRM C LU calibre is an ultra-thin movement just 3.98 mm thick.

Price83,470 euro.
