Sotheby's Week

The auction house Sotheby's launched a new initiative: weekly auctions, sometimes themed, sometimes more classic, with a faster and more dynamic format to meet the needs of collectors. The first appointment (1-8 April) was dedicated to Rolex and Audemars Piguet. In the second one, dedicated exclusively to Patek Philippe, a world record was reached for the sum reached in an online auction: a Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711 in platinum with a blue jeans dial was sold for $484,000. Meanwhile, another weekly session is underway (it will end on 29 April) dedicated to F.P. Journe, Piaget and Atmos wrist, pocket and table timepieces. Among the lots are a 2002 F.P. Journe dual time in platinum with power reserve, a 2001 F.P. Journe in platinum with tourbillon, a 1975 Jaeger-LeCoultre atmos Ref. 5921 table watch with a red gold-plated brass case, a 2010 Piaget Altiplano Ref. P10763 wristwatch in platinum with diamonds, and another 1970 Piaget ladies' watch in gold with a lapis lazuli dial.
