As part of its "Change for the Better" project, Oris has partnered with the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements (KFEM) in Seoul, a non-governmental organisation in South Korea that is working to clean, protect and restore the mighty Hangang River which flows through the capital. To support this mission, the watchmaker has created the Hangang Limited Edition, a watch limited to 2,000 pieces, the sales of which will help finance the clean-up of the river. Inspired by the high-performance Aquis diver's model, it features a steel case measuring 43.50 mm in diameter with a unidirectional rotating bezel to record diving times. The deep green of the dial and the ceramic insert in the bezel are inspired by the colour of the waters of the stream at the source of the Hangang. The watch, water-resistant to 30 atmospheres (300m), is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, Oris calibre 743 (Sellita base SW220-1), with a 38-hour power reserve. The case back is engraved with a map of the Hangang route and the limited edition number. It is available from authorised dealers at a price of €2,400.
