The Excalibur Double Tourbillon is Roger Dubuis' first model with a white ceramic case. Beautiful and elegant is the combination with the parts in Eon Gold (bezel, crown and back), a special 750/1000 5N gold alloy that is more resistant to oxidation when exposed to extreme conditions.
The double tourbillon, one of the brand's icons since 2005, led to the introduction of a differential system capable of transmitting the average gear of the two devices. Combined with the fine art of skeletonisation, it has given shape to haute horlogerie timepieces with great personality in line with what has always been the brand's style: architectural, geometric, expressive and contemporary, ready to challenge the most classic rules.
The contrasting play of white ceramic and Eon Gold enhances the personality of an important and striking haute horlogerie timepiece. SuperLuminova coating is applied to the iconic star and tourbillon cages to make them glow in the dark.
In the manual calibre RD108, the balances of the two tourbillons oscillate at a frequency of 3 Hz each. The power reserve is 72 hours.
The use of titanium (twice as light as steel), and cobalt chrome, for the lower and upper parts of the cage of each tourbillon respectively, results in better resistance to magnetism.
Awarded the Hallmark of Geneva, the Excalibur Double Tourbillon is made in a limited edition of 8.
