Jaeger-LeCoultre - Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel

An exercise in horological balance, the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel brings together two important complications: the flying tourbillon and the perpetual calendar. The difference from last year's model, celebrating the 180th anniversary of the House of Le Sentier, concerns the material used to make the case, namely pink gold instead of platinum. At the heart of this model is the self-winding JLC 985 calibre, equipped with a flying tourbillon with a titanium cage and cylindrical balance spring that seem to levitate in vacuum. The 22-carat gold oscillating weight features a reproduction of the gold medal won by the Maison in 1889 at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. The date, day, month and year indications, arranged at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock, stand out on the silvered grené-finished dial. Price: 125,000 euros.
