Jaeger-LeCoultre and Venice - 10 years of cinema

The celebrations of Jaeger-LeCoultre's 10-year partnership with the Venice International Film Festival kicks off today. The unmissable event, scheduled to run until 12 September at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Lounge at the Hotel Excelsior on the Venice Lido, is with the photographic retrospective "Behind the Scenes". The exhibition remembers all the greats who have received the Glory to the Filmmaker award, which this year will be awarded to Brian De Palma, the director of 'The Untouchables', 'Murder in Red Lights', 'Bonfire of the Vanities', 'Scarface' and 'Black Dahlia'. Visitors will be able to enjoy this overview of the cinematic creative process of very different artists (from Stallone to Spike Lee, from Kiarostami to Al Pacino), united by having contributed, with their work, to the development and evolution of the seventh art. "Haute Horlogerie and the cinema share common values: both resort to the same aesthetic and technical mastery to bring dreams to life and create amazement," stressed CEO Daniel Riedo. Finally, on the occasion of the Festival's closing ceremony, Jaeger-LeCoultre will present the winners of the Golden Lion and the Volpi Cups with the legendary Reverso watch, created in a unique and special version: each piece bears the inscription "72nd Venice Film Festival" and is decorated with a lacquered engraving representing the lion, symbol of the Venice Biennale, and above the engraving shines a diamond, crowning these ten years of precious collaboration between Jaeger-LeCoultre and the world of cinema.
