IWC - Portofino Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation

With a limited special edition in aid of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, IWC supports for the sixth time the association that works to give children and young people living in disadvantaged circumstances the chance of a better life. The Portofino Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is made in stainless steel in a limited series of 2,500 pieces. The watch, with its characteristic Laureus blue colouring, is powered by the automatic 79320 calibre with a 44-hour power reserve. A special engraving appears on the case back: as is tradition, the brand once again this year held a children's drawing competition as part of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation projects. Children and young people from all over the world, aged between four and sixteen, gave free rein to their imagination on the theme 'Time to Inspire'. The jury's choice fell on the drawing of Kumara Wadu Parami Apsara, a seven-year-old girl from Sri Lanka, involved in the Seenigama Sport for Life project. The child, born exactly one month before the devastating tsunami, illustrated the theme of the competition by drawing four little girls enjoying their pastimes. The winning subject is engraved on the back of the special model and a reminder that part of the proceeds from the sale go to help children around the world.
