IWC celebrates its collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team with a new Pilot's Watch dedicated to the German racing team.
The 2025 Formula 1 season is just around the corner, and as the various teams prepare to present their single-seaters, IWC launches a new watch dedicated to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team. The 2025 Formula One World Championship will kick off in Australia, 14-16 March. The Mercedes F1 car that will tackle this new season will be unveiled to the public on 14 February.
The Pilot's Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has a 40 mm matt grey case in grade 5 titanium, light and robust material. The black dial features teal details (official colour of Petronas, the team's main sponsor), same shade as the rubber strap.
IWC and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team: a story that starts in 2013
Thanks to the eight World Championships won between 2014 and 2021, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has the record for the most consecutive constructors' titles won.
The German team prepares for the 2025 season by welcoming the young Italian driver Kimi Antonelli, who will join British driver George Russell. The first IWC watch dedicated to the German racing team dates back to 2022, and this year's is the third model destined for the team.
On the aforementioned dial, which is protected by anti-reflective, anti-decompression sapphire crystal, the diamond-shaped hands and quarter markers are luminescent with green SuperLuminova. At 3 o'clock is the date window, with teal numerals on a black background. The screw-down case back, engraved with the name of the Teutonic F1 team, conceals the IWC-manufactured calibre 32111 (28,800 vibrations per hour), automatic movement with 120-hour power reserve.
The new Pilot's Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has the EasX-CHANGE quick strap replacement system. Water resistance is at 10 atmospheres of pressure. Finally, this Pilot's Watch will be worn trackside by team members, including mechanics, technicians and race strategy managers, during the 2025 season.
