The Geneva Motor Show was transformed for one evening into the splendid Piazzetta of Portofino to celebrate the renewed collection of IWC. A truly impressive gala evening was attended by a parterre of exceptional VIPs sporting the brand's new watches: Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Elle Macpherson, Jean Reno, Matthew Fox, Marc Forster, Boris Becker, Luís Figo, Zinédine Zidane, Tim Jefferies and Ronan Keating. All of them were among other things the protagonists of the famous photographer Peter Lindbergh's shoot in the Ligurian town last May. Inspired by the taste and lifestyle of the 1960s, the clothes and accessories of the era provided the backdrop for very glamorous images. The evening was therefore also an opportunity to present the world premiere of the photo exhibition.
Another exciting moment was the performance of the Zurich Opera House with an orchestra composed of
of sixty elements, who sang with tenor Neil Shicoff the notes of famous arias such as 'Nessun dorma' from Puccini's Turandot, 'La donna è mobile' from Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto. as well as the traditional 'O sole mio'. And then, off to the dancing...
And we were there too!
