IWC - Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium Watches

A new Ingenieur for IWC: it is the Double Chronograph Titanium in a 45-millimetre satin-finished titanium case housing the 79230 calibre and guaranteed water-resistant to 12 atmospheres. What stands out are the five screw heads in the bezel, coated with carbon; the pushers and crown protection are covered with black rubber. The sapphire crystal is anti-reflective on both sides, and the case back and crown are screwed down. For the first time, this watch family is enriched with a split-seconds chronograph: activating the chronograph with the appropriate pusher sets in motion two different superimposed chronograph hands. Since they are inserted exactly one above the other, the second chronograph hand is not immediately visible, but it does offer the possibility of measuring a second time within a minute: by pressing the third pusher at 10 o'clock with the chronograph activated, the upper hand remains stationary, while the lower one continues to run, until it is regularly stopped by the start-stop pusher at 2 o'clock. In this way, it is possible to measure two different short time intervals. By pressing the split-seconds hand a second time, the split-seconds hand immediately returns to the same position as the chronograph hand, regardless of whether the latter is running or stopped.
