Maurice de Mauriac dresses the dial of the c collection, launched last year on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, in eight new shades inspired by the colours of the tram lines in Zurich, the brand's home city: green, turquoise, red, orange, black, white, yellow and blue.
Leonard Dreifuss, Chief Operating Officer of the company, is behind this change: 'The colours of the trams, ubiquitous in Zurich and the backbone of public transport within the city, inspired me.
A characteristic feature of these three-sphere models, available with a 39 or 42 mm steel case (for 13.9 mm thickness) and matching leather strap or steel bracelet, is the presence of the date with magnifying glass and the day of the week in Swiss German (the language spoken in German-speaking Switzerland): the first in the canonical position at 3 o'clock and the second in an arched aperture at the top of the dial.
The latter is protected by a sapphire crystal (with double anti-reflective treatment, both inside and outside) and also houses luminescent leaf hands and minute markers, as well as the sexagesimal scale.
The movement used is the ETA calibre 2834-2 (25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 38-hour power reserve), decorated and personalised by Maurice de Mauriac, visible through the sapphire glass porthole on the case back. The crown and back are screwed down and water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 atmospheres.
