Isotope offers a new wristwatch and a wall clock, but only available for a limited time.
Isotope presented the Hydrium X Will Return in 2021, in a limited edition of only 100 pieces, which sold out quickly. Respecting the 'will return' statement (referring to the sign behind the glass of a temporarily closed shop, equivalent to our 'I'll be right back'), Isotope is back on the theme, presenting the new Hydrium X Will Return Red. Combining it, however, with an unprecedented wall clock, ironically christened 'Wall Return'.
Hydrium, Isotope's successful collection
The Hydrium X Will Return Red echoes the characteristics of Isotope's most recognisable watch.
The white dial, fully luminescent SuperLuminova and protected by a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, uses indices and hands that are reminiscent of the sign (typical in England) concerning the shop's reopening time. The watch uses a 40 mm diameter by 12.9 mm thick micro-sandblasted steel case, water-resistant to an impressive 300 metres.
The red bezel, with sapphire insert, is unidirectionally rotatable over 120 clicks and equipped with a luminescent SuperLuminova reference index in the shape of a teardrop, the company's logo. The case back is fitted with a porthole, opening to view the movement used, a mechanical self-winding Landeron calibre, which guarantees a power reserve of 40 hours. The light blue FKM rubber strap is combined with a steel folding clasp.
The matching Wall Return wall clock
The Wall Return wall clock can be purchased in pairs with the wristwatch model or separately.
The Wall Return employs a 35 cm diameter by 6 cm thick case made of aluminiumand is driven by a high-precision Seiko quartz movement. Isotope's Wall Return also has a luminescent dial like the Hydrium X Will Return Red, but the bezel is blue instead of red.
Isotope decided not to produce these two limited edition watches. However, the house has placed a time limit on their purchase, limit expiring on Sunday 10 March at midnight UK time.
