Let's meet at the newsstand and live!

A new issue of L'Orologio is on newsstands as I prepare to follow a series of live events, in person and digitally, that will keep me busy until 3 April. First stop: Vicenza. At VO'Clock Privé I will be waiting for you on Saturday, with three interesting meetings for completely different reasons.

At 2 p.m. I will talk about the 'secrets of the watchmaking industry', but also about the market, history and design, with Roberto Boglietti, jeweller, designer and historical watchmaking memory. At 3.30 p.m. I will lead the talk 'Locman and Oisa 1937: the mechanical movement Made in Italy', with Marco Mantovani (President of Locman) and Carlo Boggio Ferraris (Founder of Oisa 1937), who will explain the spring that gave rise to the project and the creation of an entirely Italian mechanical calibre.
At 6 p.m., I look forward to the event 'The spirit of Breitling': presentation of the House's latest collections with tasting of signature cocktails & spirits by The Spiritual Machine. I'll say no more!

After Vicenza, mark 22 March in your diary. At 7pm, on our Instagram you can follow me live with Filippo Nembrini, director of Seiko Italia. We will show you live some of the brand's novelties and the history and technology they contain. Of course we will answer any questions you may have. You can already send them to us, if you wish, by leaving a comment below at this post.

It will then be the turn of Geneva and the Watches and Wonders, which will engage me personally from 30 March to 3 April and which we will report on in the next issue in April, but also on our social channels, in real time.

In the meantime, there are plenty more topics to enjoy in the issue on newsstands, starting with the new Hublot Big Bang Integral 'Time Only' on the cover and continuing with a comparison of old and new sport-elegant models, which are now competing for public favour.

Don't miss this month's technical article analysing Bernhard Lederer's very interesting Central Impulse Chronometer, awarded at the last GPHG. And I advise you to conclude your reading with the pages dedicated to the analysis of one of the most interesting phenomena of recent times: the rapid rise of F.P Journe in the international auction market.
