After the record for thinness set with the Tourbillon in 2014 and the one achieved with the Minute Repeater in 2016, today Bulgari presents the world's thinnest ultra-thin self-winding watch: the Octo Finissimo Automatic. The overall thickness of the watch is 5.15 millimetres, while the BVL 138 calibre measures a mere 2.23 millimetres, thanks in part to the use of a platinum micro-rotor. The case and dial are coated in titanium with a sandblasted finish and the same material is used for the pin buckle, which fastens the alligator leather strap, as well as for the bracelet that completes the second of the two versions in which the watch is available. To ensure legibility and a contrasting effect, the skeleton hands and geometric hour markers (and Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o'clock) are coated with a black PVD treatment.
