The self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 896 will now be available in a new version dedicated exclusively to the Italian market. It can be admired through the sapphire crystal porthole of the model Jaeger-LeCoultre which houses it, the Master Grande Ultra Thin Italico, a limited series of 100 pieces. Its main features are its 242 components, its thickness of just 4 millimetres, its variable-inertia balance, ceramic ball bearings and the balance's oscillating frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The watch, with its stainless steel case and alligator leather strap with folding clasp, has a black dial with applied hour markers, dauphine hands and a minute circle on the flange, the latter in a sienna colour like the small seconds hand at 6 o'clock. The water-resistance rating is 5 atmospheres. For information: Richemont Italy, tel. 02/30261.
