The 'wild' side of Zenith

Zenith's Chronomaster Revival Safari, launched in May 2021, experiments with a new green colour scheme. The watch dusts off the proportions of the historic A384 from 1969, starting with the 37 mm diameter, but with a decidedly different style. It adopts a micro-sandblasted titanium finish for its case, in place of the traditional polished and brushed steel, and a deep matt green hue for its dial, with touches of beige SuperLuminova on hour markers and hands. Contrasting with the black of the tachymeter scale and totalizers (chrono hours at 6 o'clock, chrono minutes at 3 o'clock, continuous seconds at 9 o'clock, with the chrono seconds hand in the centre). White on green, the date counter harmonises with the rest of the dial, which remains easily readable without creating confusion. The rubber strap with a black cordura effect and white stitching, equipped with a micro-sandblasted titanium pin buckle, has the same green colouring. Its motor, visible through the case back, is the high-frequency automatic El Primero 400 calibre, with 36,000 vibrations per hour and a minimum power reserve of 50 hours. The watch is guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 5 atmospheres. Price: €8.8.00.
