Hublot is dedicating two models in its Big Bang collection to the Matterhorn. In particular, the Swiss watchmaker wanted to dedicate these two new models to the two sides of the famous mountain, the East and the West. To represent these two slopes, the House chose two exceptional testimonials, namely the skiers Corinne Suter and Tanguy Nef, Swiss champions in the downhill and slalom specialities. They are the Big Bang All Black Zermatt, produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces for the ladies' model and 100 for the men's model. The latter employs a 44 mm case in micro-bead-blasted ceramic and is animated by the HUB1400 chronograph calibre (252 components, 27 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42-hour power reserve), mechanical automatic. On the dial, the small seconds are displayed at 9 o'clock in a subdial with the silhouette of Mount Cervin in relief in the background. The black rubber and calfskin strap is combined with a folding clasp. The Big Bang Unico All Black Zermatt for ladies, on the other hand, adopts a case, also in ceramic but with a satin finish and 41 mm in diameter, embellished with 36 black diamonds (equal to 1.80 carats) on the bezel. A further 8 diamonds are set on the dial, in addition to the silhouette of the Matterhorn at 3 o'clock. The movement that animates it is the calibre HUB4300 (278 components, 37 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42-hour power reserve), mechanical automatic. For both models, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal on the case back and water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 atmospheres.
