Harry Winston presents three new Ocean Collection Zalium, which reinterpret the original design of Project Z10, launched in 2016.
Equipped with a 42.2 mm case made of Zalium (an ultra-light and highly corrosion-resistant aluminium-zirconium-based alloy), the three new Harry Winston Ocean Collection Two-Tone Variation have a skeleton dial, whose sandblasted bridges draw inspiration from the architecture of the New York's Manhattan Bridge. Opened in 1909, the Manhattan Bridge relied on the most innovative materials available to become the strongest suspension bridge of its time. With its suspension cables, trusses and exposed towers, the Manhattan Bridge is considered the forerunner of modern suspension bridges.
New interpretations for the Ocean Collection
The new versions of Harry Winston's Ocean Collection Zalium play with colours.
There are three new two-tone versions of Harry Winston's Ocean Collection Zalium, combining green and black, orange and turquoise, or white and navy blue. All models are waterproof up to a pressure of 10 atmospheres and present a perforated dial with off-centre hour/minute display at 12 o'clock.
Luminescent hands and indices and other dial details are coloured in two shades, depending on the version chosen. The other indications given are retrograde seconds at 8 o'clock, day hand (this indication is also retrograde) at 4 o'clock and circular date window at 6 o'clock.
Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment. Also on the back side is a sapphire crystal porthole, which opens to view the Calibre HW3305 (4.65 mm thick, 35 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, 65-hour power reserve), with an 18-carat white gold openwork rotor, silicon balance spring and côtes de Genève decorations on the bridges.
Ocean Collection Two-Tone Variation Zalium: limited editions
All three Ocean Collection Zalium seen here are produced in a limited edition of only 50 pieces each.
Produced in only 50 pieces per variant, the new Ocean Collection Zalium Two-Tone Variation by Harry Winston are fitted with a matching strap, which combines a green, turquoise or white alligator centre band and contrasting rubber edges. All three models are equipped with a pin buckle made of Zalium with folding closure equipped with safety device.
