Red gold and Burgundy dial, khaki strap: the new colour combination of the Pioneer Tourbillon from H. Moser & Cie.

In 2019 H. Moser & Cie. introduced a one-minute flying tourbillon with a double balance-spring and three-day power reserve, inside the sportiest case in the Pioneer collection. Initially offered in steel and with a diameter of 42.8 mm, it defined itself as a mechanically refined yet wearable watch for everyday use, thanks to its screw-down crown and water resistance of 120 metres.

Following the downsizing trend of recent times, the company then proposed a new 40 mm case size, more comfortable to wear. But without compromising strength.

The new evolution introduces a bold combination of materials and colours, combining 5N red gold with a striking Burgundy dial, already tried and tested by the brand but a novelty for the Pioneer collection.

Smoked coloured dials from H. Moser & Cie.

Burgundy is the new colour of the Pioneer Tourbillon.

Smoked-coloured dials are a highlight of H. Moser & Cie's production, and the Burgundy dial of the Pioneer Tourbillon in transparent lacquer brings out the colour of the red gold to the fullest. In its essentiality, it expresses great refinement with its gold hour markers and hands matching the colour of the case. The tourbillon cage at 6 o'clock dominates.

The domed sapphire crystal further emphasises the smoky Burgundy of the dial. The rubber strap kaki succeeds in giving the watch dynamism and modernity (alligator leather or textile straps are available separately).

Stylistic updates to the Pioneer Tourbillon automatic calibre

The flying tourbillon and double spiral by H. Moser & Cie.

The automatic movement is updated with the calibre HMC805, which features a new, very modern anthracite grey finish and partially skeletonised bridges that leave the architecture of the components more visible.

Otherwise, it is technically the same as the previous calibre, with the matched pair of spirals significantly improving accuracy and isochronism. The tourbillon is an interchangeable module, assembled and adjusted independently of the movement via a simple 'plug and play' system that allows easy maintenance.
