This new Grand Seiko, part of the Heritage collection, employs a 40 mm diameter by 11.8 mm thick steel case that has undergone Zaratsu polishing and is combined with a bracelet made of the same material. Very special is the dial, blue in colour and inspired by the waters of Lake Suwa, located near the Shinshu Watch Studio, where the watch is made. On the same dial, protected by a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, are the hands and geometric markers, as well as the date window at 3 o'clock. The movement used is the Seiko 9RA2 Spring Drive calibre (34 mm in diameter, 5 mm thick, 5-day power reserve), mechanical with automatic winding, visible from the back side, on which the progressive numbering relating to the limited edition is also engraved. The same movement bears a power-reserve indication. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 atmospheres.
