With a new green dial with a texture inspired by Japanese landscapes, Ever-Brillant steel makes its debut in Grand Seiko's Evolution 9 collection.
From 2020 the Evolution 9 collection of Grand Seiko configured a set of stylistic principles based on the Grammar of Design standardsestablished by the Japanese company at the time of the iconic 44GS, in 1967. Well-defined concepts that have become indispensable elements in expressing an exquisitely Japanese charm in the watches of the Tokyo-based company, still governed today by precise rules regarding proportions, finishes and facets, summed up in nine distinct elements that guide the creation of every detail of a watch.
This design language, based on purity, elegance and comfort, in the SLGH021 model takes shape for the first time through the use of Ever-Brillant steel, the latest alloy patented by Grand SeikoIt is more corrosion-resistant than conventional steel and shines in a special way, reflecting light with an almost white glow, thanks to a newly developed metalworking method.
