The GPHG is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and yesterday, 4 November, the winners in their respective 19 categories were revealed in Geneva. The GPHG is a world-class award that celebrates craftsmanship, savoir-faire and heritage in watchmaking by rewarding the best models presented during the current year. The 30-member jury was chaired by Nick Foulkes, the world-renowned historian, writer and journalist. The awards ceremony, presented by Edouard Baer, saw the most prestigious prize, the 'Aiguille d'Or', awarded to the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar by Bulgari. Also noteworthy was the Dubai Watch Week's awarding of the Jury's Special Prize, which is given to prominent personalities or institutions within the watchmaking scene. The winning watches of the 2021 edition of the GPHG will be exhibited during Dubai Watch Week (scheduled from 24 to 28 November) and then in Paris, from 2 to 5 December.
