The new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition features an 'Aston Martin green' dial, a watch with a 42 mm steel case. To obtain this particular shade of green, no fewer than twenty-one coats of paint have to be applied, forming seven distinct layers. Speaking about the launch of this new chronograph, Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Girard-Perregaux, said: "Our Manufacture has a long history of collaborations, which began with our founder Jean-François Bautte, who brought several "établisseurs" together under one roof, thus creating one of the first Manufactures as we know them today. Not only has our partnership with Aston Martin produced two exceptional watches, but it is a meeting of spirits and marks the beginning of a genuine friendship between the two brands and our teams. The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is proof of mutual understanding and a shared philosophy. The aforementioned dial houses three additional counters (for continuous seconds at 3 o'clock, chronograph hours at 6 o'clock, chronograph minutes at 9 o'clock), a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock, skeleton, blackened and luminescent hands and geometric indices with a luminescent sector. The case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal porthole with the Aston Martin logo, which opens to view the GP03300-0141 calibre (419 components, 63 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, power reserve of at least 46 hours), a self-winding mechanical movement. Water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres and fitted with a steel bracelet, the new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition will be produced in a limited edition of 188 pieces.
