Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Ti 230

Created for Girard-Perregaux's 230th anniversary, the Laureato Absolute sports a 44 mm grade 5 titanium case that has been slightly sandblasted and, for the first time, features a crown surrounded by a rubber ring that echoes the colour of the strap. The latter is integrated, in line with the original 1975 model, is made of Rubber Alloy GP containing titanium, has a fabric-effect structure and is closed by a titanium folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system that allows the wearer to precisely adjust the size for an optimal fit on the wrist. The dial, blue or grey depending on the version and with a sandwich structure, consists of an upper layer, characterised by numerous openings, resting on top of a lower layer. The openings in the upper layer allow a partial view of the grey lower layer. Thanks to this design approach, the apertures form recessed luminescent baton hour markers, playing with depth. At the heart of the watch is the calibre GP03300- 1060, a self-winding mechanical movement with 218 components and a minimum 46-hour power reserve. Both versions of the Laureato Absolute Ti 230 are limited to 230 pieces and, for the first month, the one with the blue dial will be available exclusively from Wempe in its ten boutiques in Germany and its flagship shops in New York and London. Subsequently, the watch will be available at all authorised Girard-Perregaux retailers and on the brand's e-commerce site. The grey dial version is available at all authorised Girard-Perregaux retailers and on the brand's e-commerce site. Price: 9,500 euros.
