For fans of the world of sport, especially sports cars, red is an iconic colour that Girard-Perregaux has long chosen to integrate into its collections. The Laureato Absolute Passion is a chronograph celebrating this tradition of using the colour red. In a limited edition of only 50 pieces, this exclusive watch makes no compromises. The facetted 44 mm case features a black PVD treatment with red details embellishing the watch, in tribute to the use of this colour shade in chronographs that have written important pages in Girard-Perregaux history. The Laureato Absolute Passion is water-resistant to an impressive 300 metres (30 ATM), making it one of the few non-dive watches with this level of protection. The watch is very reliable, thanks in part to the use of the mechanical self-winding movement, which is also characterised by excellent finishing, made in the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture. The barrel bridge alone displays no less than five finishes: engraving, Côtes de Genève, anglage, mirror polishing and perlage. The rubber strap (with red insert and red stitching) blends in perfectly with the watch, as if the two components were a single piece. The micro-adjustment system of the buckle ensures maximum comfort on the wrist of the strap, which is both soft and highly resistant. As the Official Watchmaking Sponsor of the Festival Automobile International in Paris, Girard-Perregaux launched the Laureato Absolute Passion last January at this major industry event.
