Dedicated to deep-sea enthusiasts, Garmin's Descent Mk2 is equipped with a number of functions to accompany free diving or scuba diving. All you have to do is dive for it to automatically enable activity monitoring, which stops on its own once you surface. All data will always be recorded automatically in the free Garmin Dive app, a platform that can catalogue and analyse them. Hundreds of pre-loaded dive sites for the most relevant locations or tide data, so you can find the best spots to explore. Guaranteed water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, the watch features a 52-millimetre diameter case made of fibre-reinforced polymers with watertight push buttons, a steel bezel and back, a 1.4-inch colour display with a sapphire crystal lens and a silicon strap. Equipped with a built-in optical sensor to monitor heart rate (even underwater) and Pulse Ox (pulse oximeter) technology to analyse the level of oxygen saturation in the blood, Descent Mk2 out of the water can be used for other sporting activities, from running to cycling, hiking to indoor training. When paired with a compatible smartphone, it can display notifications of messages, incoming calls or alerts from social networks, make contactless payments, upload up to 20,000 songs and listen to your favourite playlists through Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music. The battery provides ample battery life, up to 80 hours in immersion mode and 16 days in sportwatch mode. The Descent Mk2 is on sale for €1,299.
