The appointment is for 13 September at the Vicenza trade fair, as part of VO'Clock and VO Vintage: the first two international events dedicated to watchmaking. It will be on that date that we will reveal the winners of the Watch of the Year 2021 award, chosen by our readers.
The selection of watches in the competition was made by our editorial staff: thirty-six models divided into twelve categories. The chosen ones are those timepieces which, among the novelties of recent months, have distinguished themselves for their technical and aesthetic content. Thirty-six in all, then, are the potential winners of the only Italian watchmaking prize. What is more, awarded by the public of enthusiasts.
There are three nominees for each section. Inevitable since the first edition are the categories dedicated to Time-Only, Chronograph, Diver's Watch, Tourbillon and Calendars. These are joined by Design, New Materials, New Technologies (which also includes smartwatches) and Quality/Price, in which the watches that offer the best performance at a competitive price, in any market segment, are distinguished.
The voting methods are always the same: you can use the paper form published in the magazine and send the scan or photo to lorologio@dgedizioni.itor proceed with the online vote.
