Total black look for the new addition to Perrelet's Turbine collection. A result achieved thanks to the adoption of carbon fibre combined with polycarbonate for the 44 mm case body. The black calfskin strap with rubber lining is no exception.
Same colouring for the dial, which becomes visible when the whirlwind, also in a dark suit, springs into action. Perrelet's undisputed signature, the dynamic 12-blade propeller in anodised aluminium begins to rotate with each movement of the wrist. The only touches of light are the white seconds displays on the flange, as well as the company logo and the Swiss Made inscription.
The motor that drives the watch is the IWC-manufactured P-331-MH automatic movement, chronofiable and Cosc-certified and offering 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound. It is visible through the sapphire crystal porthole on the caseback - the latter in black PVD-treated steel like the bezel - which allows us to admire the circular-graining decoration on the plate and the openworked oscillating weight embellished with the Maison's logo.
The Turbine Carbon Black Edition is guaranteed water-resistant to 10 atmospheres compared to the usual 5. It is delivered in a special 'tactical box', which also houses an additional rubber strap and a tool for attaching it independently.
