De Bethune - DB25GMT Starry Varius

At a time when one can finally start travelling again, Maison De Bethune presents a model expressly dedicated to travellers, the DB25GMT Starry Various. The watch features a 42 mm satin-finished grade 5 titanium case with a sapphire crystal porthole on the back. The latter opens to view the 29th in-house calibre designed and manufactured by De Bethune, named DB2507 (30 mm diameter, 368 components, 28,800 vib/h, 40 jewels, 5-day power reserve, silicon escapement wheel, double barrel), mechanical with manual winding. On the dial side, here is the jumping date hand, which sweeps over a background divided into two parts: the upper one is made of silver and features a pink gold Sun; the lower one, blue in colour, is made of titanium, and represents the Milky Way, thanks to hand-applied gold stars. More externally, there is the 24-hour GMT display, with day/night indication. The latter is via the sphere made of blued titanium and pink gold. The same sphere, rotating on itself as the home time indication passes 6 o'clock, rotates, showing more and more of the blue half-part. Conversely, once 6 a.m. is reached, the sphere rotates showing the pink gold half-part. The local time is indicated by means of blued hands curved towards the dial. Guaranteed water-resistant to 3 atmospheres, De Bethune's new DB25GMT Starry Varius is fitted with a crocodile strap with a titanium pin buckle.

Price: 95,000 Swiss francs.
