The new Historiador Asturias Pequeños Segundos from Cuervo y Sobrinos is available in two versions, with a blue or ivory dial. Both dials are decorated with a sunburst motif. The colouring of the dial changes from soft tones in the centre to darker shades around the perimeter, with the small seconds at 6 o'clock in a guilloché-engraved counter with a filets circulaires motif, while at 12 o'clock there is the company logo. In designing this new model, Cuervo y Sobrinos was inspired by some of its watches from the 1940s: the case design recalls the style of that era, but adheres to modern tastes thanks to the 40 mm diameter of the polished-finish steel case. The elongated lugs have an ergonomic shape that follows the upper contour of the wrist and provides the wearer with optimum comfort. The watch also boasts a double-curved sapphire crystal. The Historiador Asturias Pequeños Segundos is powered by the CyS 5158 calibre (diameter 25.6 mm, thickness 4.6 mm, 31 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour), an automatic mechanical movement visible from the back side and based on the Sellita SW 260-1 calibre, with an engraved oscillating weight and 38-hour power reserve. A cordovan leather strap with a steel folding clasp completes the watch.
