Corum initiates a double collaboration. The first, with French street artist Aiiroh, saw the creation of the new Bubble 47 Automatic Aiiroh, made in only 88 pieces. Aiiroh himself then created a work of art, collaborating with the artists Soyz Bank and Namisen, which forms the certificate of authenticity of the new Bubble.
Passionate about pop art, French street artist Aiiroh has exhibited his works in over 50 galleries, and has also converted some of his works to NFT. Recently, his work has focused on reinterpreting iconic pop art figures. For this new Bubble Aiiroh took inspiration from his work entitled "Black Série Rose", in which he used street posters and newspaper headlines in a collage that forms the petals of a rose. Superimposed on this is a second spiral motif in the form of a stylised black rose.
The same effect is recreated on the dial of the new Bubble 47 Automatic Aiiroh, using two different applications on the dial. On the black background, the collage of rose petals is in shades of turquoise, orange, purple, blue, lavender, red, yellow and green. Superimposed on this layer is a black aluminium spiral, representing a stylised rose.
The famous anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal offers a slightly distorted view of the dial. The watch uses a 47 mm case made of black PVD-treated steel guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure3 of 10 atmospheres. The movement used, visible through the anti-reflective sapphire crystal porthole on the case back, is the CO 082 calibre (11 ½'', 25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations/hour), with 42 hours of power reserve.
In addition, as mentioned, the watch is sold together with a special artwork created by Aiiroh and Japanese artist Namisen, and 'animated' as the final resin piece by French visual artist Soyz Bank. This artwork is a drawing inspired by the Corum watch certificate, complete with the key-shaped logo, and was created as a flat, semi-folded painting finished in resin.
