The main interpreters are the six letters that make up the brand's name and that stand out as the predominant graphic code of the Maison's most iconic models, from the J12 to the Première, from the Boy.Friend to the Code Coco, revealing different styles and combinations for each of them. The most emblematic of them all is undoubtedly the J12 which, revisited in this new guise, features a polished black high resistance ceramic case with the House logo occupying the centre of the black lacquered dial from left to right, extending also to the fixed steel bezel with matt black ADLC coating. The beating heart of the watch, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, is the calibre 12.1, an IWC-manufactured self-winding mechanical movement, chronometer-certified by the Cosc, capable of ensuring a power reserve of around 70 hours. Price8,100 euro.
The J12 Wanted de Chanel is also available in a 33 mm quartz version in white ceramic, with the Chanel name in silver metallic effect repeated numerous times on the steel bezel and white lacquered sapphire crystal ring; the same polished rhodium-plated logo also enriches the white lacquered dial. To give due prominence to this stylistic choice to leave room for the Chanel lettering, the same dial and bezel of both limited edition watches have been "stripped" of the traditional hour and minute markers.
Price6,150 euro.
The capsule collection also includes a lacquered wooden case comprising six 38 mm J12 Highly Wanted de Chanel watches featuring the brand's signature polished letters distributed in different ways on an enamel dial and ceramic bezel, both with a matt finish. Each creation is again animated by the self-winding 12.1 calibre, this time with a black oscillating weight set with 34 brilliant-cut diamonds. A diamond also punctuates the crown of each watch. This is a limited edition of five pieces for each of the six models (also sold separately).
Price50,000 euro each.
