Claude Meylan: in the name of transparency

Claude Meylan, a brand based in the Vallé de Joux, is inspired by the tradition of shaped cases in this example from the Lac series. The entirely skeletonised mechanical movement seems to float between the two sapphire crystals (the hour and minute wheels stand out in the centre). The finely crafted bridges draw an interweaving of shapes that, in some versions, also produce subtle two-tone colour contrasts with the plate, emphasised by the transparency and lightness of the whole. The manual CM14 calibre boasts a 42-hour power reserve. The tonneau case is made of steel, combined with a black alligator strap with square scales. Price: 4,150 euros.
