In a new slimmer and redesigned case, the L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual is Chopard's first flying tourbillon with perpetual calendar.
In 2013 with the LUC Perpetual T Chopard produced a classic tourbillon with a skeleton bridge combined with a perpetual calendar. Instead, in 2019 it presented its first self-winding flying tourbillon (L.U.C Flying T Twin), the only one in its class to be awarded the Geneva Hallmark and chronometer certification.
Two milestones in the L.U.C. line, whose initials are a tribute to the initials of Louis-Ulysse Chopard, founder of the Maison in 1860. Now the next step: the L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual is the company's first flying tourbillon combined with a perpetual calendar with a large date.
The movement is the automatic L.U.C 96.36-L calibre, which packs the two complications in just 6 millimetres, grthe gold micro-rotor and the two barrels superimposed with Chopard Twin technology, which ensures a power reserve of 65 hours. It is chronometer-certified by the Cosc.

The L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual debuts in a new 40.5 mm diameter by 11.6 mm thick case with more refined lines. It has a so-called bassiné design that implies a narrower back than the convex, polished bezel, inspired by the lines of Louis-Ulysse Chopard's 19th century pocket watches.
And that will underpin the new aesthetic language of the L.U.C. collection. The sapphire crystal is slightly domed and follows the curves of the bezel; the fluted crown has an ergonomic profile for easy handling. It is made of ethical yellow gold.

The dial is also in ethical gold with a Forest Green coating obtained by PVD treatment. The guilloché soleil decoration is one of the signatures of the collection. Hands and indexes are in yellow gold.
New for the L.U.C. collection is the interchangeable strap system, easily replaceable without the need for any tools. In addition to the two alligator and calfskin straps supplied with the L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual, each Chopard boutique will also offer an assortment of additional straps in different textures and colours.
