The Alpine Eagle collection welcomes a new chronograph with flyback function in a 44 mm case. Available in three versions, two in Lucent Steel A223 with blue or black dials and one bi-metallic version combining Lucent Steel A223 and ethical rose gold with a black dial, the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono (with integrated bracelet) is directly inspired by the power of the eagle and the beauty of the Alps, as are all the models in the collection. The automatic Chopard 03.05-C movement, with flyback function and chronometer certificate, has been the subject of four patents, attesting to both its precision and ease of use. The movement, case, dial and bracelet of the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono are entirely manufactured in Chopard's own watchmaking workshops. Thanks to the introduction of the new Alpine Eagle XL Chrono, the collection launched by Chopard in 2019, which already counts ten references declined in two case sizes, is thus enriched by three models with an extra-large 44 mm diameter. On the right side of the case middle, the pushers are integrated with the crown protection elements. The three new references house the aforementioned IWC-manufactured 03.05-C calibre, which guarantees a 60-hour power reserve. The movement itself is equipped with a column wheel, as well as containing several technical innovations that have resulted in the registration of four patents, including a unidirectional gearing system that avoids energy losses while guaranteeing winding speed, a highly appreciated function in the chronograph family. In addition, the vertical coupling guarantees a precise start of time measurements. This chronograph calibre is also of the flyback type, a function that enables the instantaneous timing of short times thanks to the three rotating hammers with elastic arms that facilitate the resetting of the counters. Lastly, the Variner balance fitted in the Chopard Calibre 03.05-C, by compensating for its inertia variations throughout the duration of the watch's use, ensures a high level of stability for the movement.
