The Japanese manufacturer launches four new models to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the birth of the famous video game.
Casio launched four new collaboration models to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Pac-Man, which falls this year. The Pac-Man video game (originally known as 'Puck-Man' in Japan) was created in 1980 by Tōru Iwatani and produced by Namco. With an eye-catching design, this new collection of digital watches brings the world of the well-known Japanese video game to life.
The A168WEPC and F-91WPC models incorporate Pac-Man and the four little ghosts (Blinky, Inky, Clyde and Pinky) in a case with details in vivid neon shades, which give both models a pop touch.
The sound Pac-Man makes when he eats Cookies - the so-called 'Waka Waka' - is engraved on the buckle of the A168WEPC and on the LCD display (when illuminated), as well as on the strap loop of the F-91WPC, adding a fun element.
Pac-Man turns 45
Casio seizes this anniversary to offer four models inspired by the very famous video game born in the 1980s.
The dials of the ABL-100WEPC and CA-53WPC clocks recall one of the levels in the game, showing the screen of the labyrinth, populated by the well-known characters.
The ABL-100WEPC model is presented in total black, as a tribute to the monochrome screen of the video game, and bears the inscription 'Pac-Man' engraved on the strap clasp. The CA-53WPC, for its part, employs a yellow case to recall the look of a typical arcade cabinet.
The back of each of the four models is engraved with the Pac-Man logo and the eponymous character. Each watch is accompanied by special packaging, which contributes to making this collection very special. All four models visible here are naturally driven by quartz movements and are equipped with digital displays. For more information on these models, you can click on this link.
