Maurice Lacroix has created a new, extremely modern version of the Masterpiece Gravity, a model that appeared on the watchmaking scene only a few years ago. Enclosed in a steel case with a diameter of 43 mm, it displays an off-centre hour and minute counter in the upper right-hand corner of the dial. Unlike previous Gravity versions, it has no minute indicators, for a cleaner, neater design. The hours are indicated by elongated Roman numerals, except for 12 o'clock, which is replaced by the brand's 'M' logo. The hour and minute hands are yellow gold-plated, giving a touch of colour to the counter. The latter, in soleil-effect silver, is positioned above the exposed main plate, decorated with the Vagues du Jura motif. The dark grey small seconds counter is positioned at 4 o'clock, above the main plate and below the hour and minute counters. The remaining bridges are adorned with a sandblasted and brushed finish. The escapement and regulating organ are visible. In addition to its design, the Gravity model is made using silicon technology, a material that guarantees a virtually friction-free surface to ensure greater precision and avoid the need for lubrication; moreover, silicon components have a low mass that limits energy consumption. The transparent back allows a view of the ML 230 manufacture automatic calibre. It features a brown calfskin leather strap with "M" logo and a steel buckle with butterfly clasp. Price: 9,900 euros.
