Laurent Ferrier is celebrating its first ten years with the launch of the Classic Origin Opalin, a watch with a 40-millimetre case in grade 5 titanium, a material that is an absolute newcomer for the brand. Its sober and refined appearance is made possible by a silvered white opaline dial, traversed by a chemin de fer minute track in grey on the outer perimeter, punctuated by burgundy red Arabic numeral hour markers; the same shade of red is used for the small seconds subdial markers at 6 o'clock. All three hands are in 18K white gold. The aesthetics are complemented by a light brown calfskin strap lined with alcantara. The mechanism is entrusted to a new movement: the hand-wound LF 116.01 calibre, visible through the sapphire crystal on the caseback, with Breguet balance spring, the brand's characteristic long-blade ratchet system, and an 80-hour power reserve.
