Bulgari opens Europe's largest jewellery factory

On 2 December 2015, Bulgari presented the project for a new jewellery manufacturing facility in Valenza, which will increase the brand's production capacity and will employ more than 300 people when fully operational. The new facility, built also thanks to the use of innovative technologies and materials with a low environmental impact, will be subject to the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification protocol. The new factory, designed by the Open Project architecture studio, will bring together in a single site the activity that is currently divided between two production plants, in Valenza and Solonghello, becoming the largest jewellery factory in Europe. The inauguration is scheduled for the second half of 2016.

Thanks to the more than 300 new hires, the number of people working there will grow to around 700, almost double the number of employees at the current facility. On the training front, Bulgari plans to continue to invest in the territory and to cultivate Valencian craftsmanship, starting in 2016 with an intense Employer Branding and Talent Scouting activity that will be divided into several phases and will be concentrated mainly at the main Italian goldsmith schools. As a permanent support to the training activities, the Bulgari Academy will be set up, a technical school within the site that will allow students from schools, as well as new recruits, to be welcomed for internships and further training activities.
