Drawing its inspiration from the depths of the Mediterranean Sea, Breguet's new Marine Haute Joaillerie Poseidonia. The 85 baguette-cut diamonds on the Tahitian mother-of-pearl dial in fact reproduce the swaying leaves of posidonia, an aquatic plant essential to the health of marine ecosystems. Its "design" is surmounted by the slender gold hour and minute hands and the central seconds hand decorated with the "B" of the nautical code shared by the models in the Marine collection. The skilful diamond setting continues on the bezel, case middle, crown, strap attachments and buckle. The white gold case houses an ultra-thin self-winding mechanical movement, visible through the sapphire crystal on the back: it is the 591C calibre, with a gold oscillating weight decorated with Tahitian mother-of-pearl and set with 31 diamonds. It is completed by an elegant iridescent leather strap. In addition to the Marine Haute Joaillerie Poseidonia diamonds and mother-of-pearl version, Breguet offers three other versions inlaid with pearly white mother-of-pearl: blue set with sapphires, red set with rubies and sapphires, and green set with emeralds.
