Paying tribute to the millenary culture of China is the watch from the Villeret collection that Blancpain is donating to the 2015 Only Watch auction. The traditional Chinese calendar on the black grand feu dial provides a wealth of information. In fact, one can read not only the hours and minutes but also the indications of the Gregorian calendar, along with those of the Chinese calendar: traditional double time, day, month with indication of the intercalary months, zodiac sign, plus the five elements and the ten celestial trunks. The moon phases, a distinctive element of the complete calendars produced by the Maison, are also present. The five correctors positioned on the lugs are used to adjust the different indications. The sapphire crystal on the back shows the oscillating weight created especially for this timepiece: it is in champlevé black enamel and bears the inscription "Only Watch" on its surface. The case is in red gold and the movement is the automatic 3638, with a 7-day power reserve.
