Bell & Ross BR-03 Astro:
cosmic inspiration

Bell & Ross launches the new BR-03 Astro, which features a distinctive and original way of indicating the time.

Bell & Ross BR-03 Astro

Bell & Ross launches the new BR-03 Astro, offered in a limited edition of only 999 pieces. What catches the eye is obviously the dial, with an aventurine base, and which places the Earth at the centre, surrounded by the Moon and Mars. The aforementioned blue aventurine dial recreates the depths of space, and is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a carved spherical cap in the centre, beneath which is the Earth in relief.

The time is read out through an original orbital system. In particular, Mars (reproduced on a transparent plate) indicates the hours, the Moon marks the minutes and a miniature satellite tracks the seconds. The Moon is made of laser-engraved metal to reproduce the classic craters.

The watch is powered by the automatic mechanical movement BR.CAL-327 (based on Sellita, 28,800 vibrations per hour,), which guarantees a power reserve of 54 hours.

The black rubber strap, inspired by pilots' equipment, is completed by a steel pin buckle with black PVD treatment. However, a second NATO strap in black synthetic fabric (with tools for its replacement) is included in the package.

About the new BR-03 Astro, Bruno Belamich, Director Creative and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross, saidThe observation dome of the International Space Station (ISS) was a source of inspiration for this watch, which is a kind of porthole that opens onto the planets. I imagined the Earth seen from space in a symbolic alignment with the Moon and Mars. All the magic of this watch lies within its dial, which does not offer a technical interpretation of the instrument watch but, for once, a dreamlike dimension. The BR-03 Astro is a concept watch, an invitation to travel to the heart of the Milky Way.
