BaselWorld 2015 - Omega Speedmaster 57 Co-Axial

2Omega presents a new version of the Speedmaster 57, a collection that pays homage to the progenitor of this highly successful watch. The Speedmaster 57 collection, first launched in 2003, has a design inspired by its illustrious predecessor. In this latest variant, the famous Broad Arrow hands make their appearance on the dial, accompanied by SuperLuminova-treated indexes in a "vintage" colour. The calibre used is Omega's 9300, equipped with a coaxial escapement, double barrel (for a power reserve of around 60 hours), silicon balance spring and is visible through the sapphire crystal porthole on the caseback. On the black dial, the chrono minutes and hours are positioned in the same counter at 3 o'clock, while continuous seconds are displayed at 9 o'clock. At 6 o'clock is the date display, while on the bezel is the engraved and enamelled tachymeter scale, one of the collection's trademarks. The new Speedmaster 57, with a steel case measuring 41.5 millimetres in diameter, is available with a steel bracelet or a brown leather strap with white stitching. Water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, it will be available from next July.
