Audemars Piguet - Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT

Audemars Piguet continues to experiment with avant-garde technical materials and aesthetic canons with the new version of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT, distinguished by its blue and grey colour tones. Made of titanium and grey ceramic, the 44 mm case offers a resolutely contemporary setting for the unprecedented skeleton movement (calibre 2954, mechanical with manual winding). Complementing the sandblasted titanium case is a sandblasted grey ceramic bezel - a combination of materials that extends to the crown and the pushpiece located at 4 o'clock. The case echoes the aesthetics of the sophisticated hand-wound mechanism it houses. The 10-day power reserve will appeal to those in search of adventurous and extreme lifestyles. Equipped with a flying tourbillon and a second time zone display at 3 o'clock, the IWC-manufactured 2954 calibre defies gravity in style. The dial features a two-tone skeleton aesthetic in which the sand-blasted blue titanium bridges contrast with the two silver-tone components. The tourbillon device is visible at 9 o'clock and is accompanied by a crown position indicator at 6 o'clock and the aforementioned second time-zone indicator at 3 o'clock. The blue rubber strap matches the blue bridges of the movement, which are also visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch also comes with a second black rubber strap. Launched in 2002 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak, the Royal Oak Concept has set new aesthetic standards for 21st century Haute Horlogerie. The Royal Oak Concept can therefore be described as a genuine platform for creativity, which has evolved over the years thanks to a wide variety of technical materials, high-tech looks and avant-garde movements.
